SESSION-2016-17
Kendriya Vidyalaya Kathua invites
application from eligible Candidates to prepare a panel of Teachers on purely
part-time contractual basis for the Session 2016-17 for the following Posts.

A. Essential
Qualification:
1.
Four years’ Integrated degree course of Regional College of Education
of NCERT in the concerned subject with
at least 50% marks in aggregate ;
Or
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in
the concerned subjects/ combination of subjects and in aggregate. The
electives subjects and Languages in the combination of subjects as under :
a. For TGT (English):
English as a subject in all the three years with English Literature.
b. For TGT (Hindi): Hindi as a subject in all the three years.
c.
For TGT (‘Sanskrit): Sanskrit
as a subject in all the three years.
d.
For TGT (Maths): Bachelor Degree in Maths with any two of the
following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, and
Statistics.
e.
For TGT (Science) -Botany, Zoology and Chemistry.
f.
For TGT (S. St.) - Any two of the following:
History,
Geography, Economics and Pol. Science of which one must be either History or Geography.
2. Passed in the
Central Eligibility Test CTET (Paper-II)
conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE
for the purpose.
3. Proficiency in teaching
Hindi and English media.
B. Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

B. Desirable:

Career/Educational Counseling to Students in Schools/Working Knowledge and
experience in Placement Bureaus.

Registration with rehabilitation Council of
India as Vocational Counselor.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Applications
Forms on prescribed format are available in Vidyalaya office on any working
days and submitted the same in the Vidyalaya office between 10 AM to 1 PM w.
e .f. 27-02-2016 onwards.
2. Duly
filled application Forms along with self attested photocopies of certificates
and testimonial should reach the Vidyalaya office latest by 10-03-2016 before
1 PM.
3. Self
made/Printed/Photocopied Application Forms/Resumes will not be accepted. Only
Issued Applications Forms from Vidyalaya will be accepted. Incomplete
application forms will be rejected and no claim after the last date of
submission of Application Forms. All entries in the Applications Forms should
be written in capital letters.
4. CTET
is one of the essential Qualifications for the appointment to TGT & PRT Posts.

10.
Qualifications acquired by the candidates should be
strictly in accordance with the prescribed qualifications and candidate should
not seek claim of equivalence of their qualifications with that of
qualifications as asked for. Wherein grades have been given, equivalence marks
of gradation should be attached.
11.
Candidate
should not fill in those qualifications in the application form for which they
have appeared in any of the examination whose result is awaited/ withheld/ not
declared/marks sheet not received till the last date of submission of
applications.
12.
The selection of candidates will
be done by Eligibility Test (written) of one hour duration, if number of Candidates is very large
followed by interview. The date of Eligibility Test & Interview will be
intimated latter on.
13. Applicants are required to paste 2 recent
passport size photograph (size 35 x 45 mm) facing camera duly attested by Self.
14.
No TA/DA will
be paid for attending Eligibility
Test & interview.
15.
Service condition-Teacher engaged on
contractual basis would have no claim or right for appointment on regular basis
nor will be a part of the cadre of teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya.
i) Teacher
appointed on contractual basis will not be entailed for vacation pay and during
autumn/Winter Break Payment shall be calculated on pro rate basis.
ii) Teacher
will not be entitled for pay, if remain absent on working day, in case of absence
from duty, payment will be calculated on pro rate basis.
iii) Working
hours shall be same as regular teacher.
16.
Duties and responsibility of contractual
teachers-
A) Regular
classroom activity/copy checking.
B) Invigilation
duty/evaluation work.
C) Helping
students and colleagues in preparation and organization of different curricular
/ Co curricular activities in the Vidyalaya.
D) All
other works assigned by principal.
